eset security review
For the price ESET’s suite is among of the top. Its malware detection rate is almost perfect and it packs a great assortment of additional features into an extremely small footprint. The premium version adds parental controls, a secure browser and a password manager as well as the Android browse around this site version comes with an anti-theft feature that can help find your phone that has disappeared. The protection for networks is also excellent, including a firewall and an option to scan your home devices for weaknesses.
SysInspector is a standout tool. It takes a snapshot and highlights important Registry entries and running processes. It’s a little intimidating for beginners, but if you’re used to more advanced task managers such as those in the Sysinternals process explorer, you’ll feel right at home.
Scheduling scans on demand is another great feature. This is an excellent alternative to real-time security and it’s quick and easy to use. It’s just a shame ESET doesn’t group this with other scheduling tasks, and its UI makes it harder to find than some of its competitors.
The password manager is user-friendly and comes with a lot of features. It’s an effective form filler that can be used for online banking. The password manager, which is only available in the premium version that requires an ESET account in order to use it, is just as good as many standalone options.
